One battle the barbarians had with Rome was at the borders of Gaul. The barbarians were smart because they waited till the right time to attack.
First the Goths came. The Goths are barbarians who first came to Rome for safety from the Huns. The Goths were lawless, greedy, and treacherous. Not long after Rome saved the Goths they turned on Rome started stealing, killing, and destroying parts of the Roman Empire.
The Goths did siege after siege but twice they spared the Imperial city but on the third attack on Rome they sacked the Imperial city with no mercy.
The Huns spent most of their time on horseback and did their work on a horse and fought mostly on horses. They were such good riders they seemed like they were part on the horse. They used horses for transport and for moving things.
In 251 CE the Goths raided into Balkan, killing the Emperors Decius and Herennius.
In 270-271 CE the Gothic tribe raided and sacked Anchialus and Nicopolis, but the Gothic king Cannabaudes was eventually defeated by Emperor Aurelian.
The barbarians attacked ancient Rome which made the government have to pay more to get more soldiers which they had to take money from the roman citizens which made more people have less money to the point where they couldn’t get food and the barbarians attacked and looted roman city and then there was less supplies in Rome and that made roman government and economy even worse.
In 247 CE the Goths first started attacking the Roman Empire. But in 251 CE the Goths lured the roman army into a swamp and the Goths defeated the roman army. The Goths were so proud they defeated the roman army that they built some ships and raided the cities around the Black Sea and some cities on the Eastside of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Goths were raiding and attacking so much that they were winning the battle at the northern border so Emperor Aurelian had the legions retreat and go back to Rome.
The Vandals were Germanic pirates. They conquered and ravage Gaul and Spain and they settled down along both Spain and Gaul and along both the northern and southern Mediterranean. The Vandals were known for looting churches and trashing art. Which them looting made the Romans have less land and less resources to run the empire making the economy worse and hurting the roman armies.
The Huns attacked and destroyed many cities in the Roman Empire, which hurt the Romans by making them have less people and resources and that made the economy collapse a lot faster which destroyed the Empire.

America has metal detectors at airports to make sure people don’t have any weapons on them and if the metal detector goes off when someone go through it that the security guard stop that person and checks to see what made the metal detector go off.
America has portals on the borders and in the sea on look out. They do this to make sure no one is trying to get in to the country illegally.
American immigration inspectors who inspect ID of people coming into our country and interview the person who is coming into the country to see if the people trying to get into america are eligible to. They do this to make sure they don't have any record of braking the law in there old country.
America has visa scanners which scan pass ports to see if they are valid.They do this to make sure there passport are real and were not forged.

There are soldiers in boats in the water by our borders to make sure people don’t try and sneak into America using boats.
America also has a list of everyone who can be a possible terrorist and has people watch them.
If a immigrate has a record of doing a crime they get put on a list and are watched closely by the U.S.A government.
